Long one of Pittsburgh’s most vibrant and eclectic business districts, Southside’s central thoroughfare – East Carson Street – is home to countless shops, restaurants, and bars. Residents of the Auditorium will be blocks away from Pittsburgh gems like Dish Osteria, Fat Heads Saloon and City Theater Company to name just a few. It also hosts several yoga studios and a number of gyms including one of the area’s best climbing gyms, ASCEND Pittsburgh and several green spaces.

There’s no need to leave the neighborhood to visit a coffee shop, get groceries, gas or even see a movie! This is truly a walkable and bikeable neighborhood with everything you need steps away from your front door!

Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood is also one of Pittsburgh’s most accessible neighborhoods, located along the Monongahela River in close proximity to Downtown and Oakland’s college campuses and hospitals. The neighborhood is well-connected to the city’s public transportation system and the Three Rivers Heritage Trail with easy access to a number of highways.  Residents and visitors can head west on Carson Street and take the West End Bridge to access Route 65 North or take PJ McArdle Roadway up to Mount Washington or Liberty Avenue to reach points North and South via Route 19, Route 51 and Interstates 376 and 579.
